The Müthing company, which originates from the Sauerland region, was developed as early as 1898 as a trade in scythes and spare parts. Around 100 years later, the company designed its first mulcher, which was exported to numerous countries after just a few years. Now in its 4th generation, the family-owned company stands for high-performance professional mulching technology and, in addition to agricultural mulchers, also offers machines for municipal maintenance and special crops.

Which machines does Müthing sell?

Müthing has been involved in the construction and sale of mulchers for over a century. Even today, the company mainly sells flail mulchers in various designs. In addition to machines for area maintenance, the company also offers mulchers that are specially designed for agricultural requirements. The company has also developed various combination machines for this purpose, which combine other agricultural tasks with mulching. Examples include the Hippodung combi mulcher, which enables the mulching of manure and grass cuttings with the simultaneous application of a natural composting catalyst, or the MU-Coverseeder, which enables mulch sowing. In addition to mulchers, Müthing also manufactures a front-mounted chopper for square balers.

For around 25 years, Müthing has concentrated mainly on the design and development of mulching technology, so that they can now offer a wide range of products and are the clear specialists in the field of mulching technology. Müthing mulchers are also particularly versatile thanks to the MU-Vario® system: This allows the mulcher to be flexibly adapted to the conditions on site in order to achieve optimum results. Not only can the mulcher's cutting bar, which determines the degree of defibering and shredding of the cut material, be infinitely adjusted, but the support roller can also be adjusted. This means that the mulch is either deposited behind the support roller, which is ideal for maintaining meadows and grass verges, or in front of the support roller. In this case, the mulch is pressed particularly well against the ground by the support roller, resulting in faster emergence and less dust formation.

Another advantage is the so-called MU-SOFA® tractor attachment. This provides hydropneumatic, adjustable ground pressure relief for front-mounted mulchers. By distributing the contact pressure from the front implement to the front axle of the tractor, the steering ability and traction of the tractor is improved and thus offers greater driving comfort. It also improves the depth control and ground tracking of the implement.

Many different areas can benefit from Müthing mulchers. Mulchers are particularly popular in agriculture, as they have many positive effects on soil structure and humus content. Maize and rapeseed cultivation in particular benefit from the additional work step, but mulching is also frequently used in special crops such as vineyards or orchards.
